Secure use of electrical bicycle

When buying a new electric bicycle, the customer MUST retighten screws, nuts and other parts of the bicycle that are attached to the frame. This includes display, battery mount, screens, lights, reflectors, crank arms or the like. With regular use, these must be tightened. Be especially careful to tighten the crank arms regularly so that they do not sit loosely and that the threads wear out. Wear and tear is not covered by warranty.

Before the product is used, the buyer must familiarize himself with the product's user manual.

  • Choose a suitable place for the first rides and get to know the electric bike.
  • Set up the electric bike according to the instructions previously shown in the manual. We recommend helmets and other safety equipment.
  • You must be familiar with the brake, brake length and how the product behaves when braking before you can use the product in traffic / among people. Test first at low speeds and work your way up to the emergency brake at high speed.
  • When braking, use the brake lever (s). When the brake lever is depressed, the hydraulic brake (s) will be activated. If the lever is too slack to depress, the brakes must be adjusted. This can be done by us and your local bicycle mechanic.
  • The harder you push in the brake lever, the greater the braking force on the product. Be aware that in the event of an emergency brake, the electric bicycle may slip further and dangerous situations may arise.
  • Avoid emergency braking unless necessary as this leads to worn tires and punctures.

Remember that an electric bike is heavier than a regular bike, and consequently speed reduction requires more of the brakes and driver than on a regular bike. Before use, it is also important that you check that the electronics work. Make sure that the display shows speed, that the engine works optimally, that the wheelbarrow assistant works, etc.

When riding a bicycle, there are also a number of points that are important to keep in mind.

  • Hold down the Power button to turn on the electric bike.
  • Remember to switch between gears while driving, and to use the bell and light, also be aware of the surface and other fellow road users.
  • Be aware of the possibility of unpredictable, sudden obstacles on the road. Be smart when choosing speed and adapt the driving to the conditions and the surface.
  • The auxiliary motor works as follows: When the pedals are activated, a sensor will send signals to electronic control which then starts the motor. The power of the auxiliary motor is adjusted according to the selected assistance level. You can adjust the assistance level as needed while cycling. You can enter maximum assistance when cycling uphill, while you can switch off the auxiliary motor when cycling downhill. Electrical controls will automatically disconnect the engine when you stop using the pedals. Likewise, controls will disengage the engine when your speed exceeds 25 km / h.
  • Show consideration for all traffic rules that are relevant in relation to bicycles / electric bicycles.
  • These models are intended for cycling on public roads and sidewalks. Avoid off-road driving and uneven terrain.
  • It is perfectly normal for the engine on the electric bike to make some noise while riding.
  • Reminds that the customer must never try to open the electronic components. This involves display, battery, motor, controller etc. This can first and foremost be dangerous, but it also means that the right of complaint lapses. If you have problems with the electronic components, contact our service department immediately.
